History

Since its inception, ACA has been working and functioning to inform and advise consumers.
In 1990, the initiating group was created, the program and the charter of the association were drafted.
ACA on 27.10.1991, for the first time campaigning for potable water, lacking chlorine and 400 people were diarrhea, this material was published in the Tirana newspaper and was aired several times on Tirana radio and Albanian television.

    ACA in July-December 2001 has organized consumer awareness training “Paying Taxes" and to be more sensitive to the good administration of their taxes supported by S.N.V. Also co-operating in this campaign both central and local radio and television.
    ACA in 2002 makes “Pedicure for Drinking Water" in Tirana, Laç, Fier, Këlcyrë, Lezha. After pedaling in many cities, the state of water supply improved.
    AAC branches, in Krujë and Fushë-Krujë, protested for environmental protection, the Ministry of Environment took steps to improve the situation.
    In 2001-2002, the association conducted a campaign “On the effect of taxes on economic improvement" (permanent duty of ours) with support from S.N.V. Foundation.
    ACA in 2003, has cooperated with the Ministry of Commerce for the Consumer Protection Law. She also gave opinions, made suggestions for additional articles in the new consumer protection law.
    ACA in 2003 has organized the campaign “On Iodization" of children in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
    ACA in 2004 has organized the “Anti-smoking campaign" in collaboration with the anti-smoking association and has supported UNICEF. Also, the association organized for 2 months the campaign “On drinking water chlorination", where the media were engaged.
    In 2004, the association cooperated with the Ministry of Health for the draft “On iodize" bill, organized a campaign for “Customer awareness" and the risk that plastics bring to people, as well as its collection and recycling supported by financial support from the British and Australian embassies.
    In 2005, the association organized the campaign “On the labeling of food products", it also organized trainings, distributed banners with 10-EC Principles. And eight consumer rights.
    The GTC has supported us financially for the reconstruction of the Tirana Counseling Office, as well as M.E.T.E.
    In 2006 the association has organized databases, has joint training with METE, with CARDS / 6, and METE is supported with a grant for office equipment.
    In 2007, ACA organized a senibilization campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and UNICEF on the importance of “iodizing in children".
    ACA in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in 2007 has given its contribution with suggestions and proposals “On Food Law" and Milk. He has also contributed to the Law “On the Right to Information".
    On 17 March 2008, AAC participated in Budva on the topic of “Food Safety"
    ACA on 01.04.2008, participated in Ohrid, Macedonia with the topic “Consumer Protection in the Field of Banking Services".

In 2008, ACA conducted an analysis of questionnaires, appraisal surveys in 2006-2007 compared to 2004-2005 in the field of industrial products and trade (such as confectionery, shoes, sandals, etc.).
The Association has cooperated with METE with comments and suggestions for the “New Consumer Protection Law" which was approved on 17.04. 2008.

ACTIVITIES WITH SPACE FOR ASSOCIATION FOR THE YEAR 2010

Meeting of the General Assembly of the Association on 16.12.2010 which was successfully completed with all the coordinators and leaders in the districts, invited by the state institutions that cooperate with the AAC, with representatives from UNDP. associations and other organizations as well as friends of the association. The meeting was held in the premises of the Museum of History from 10-12-20 where the guests had a cocktail. The whole activity is reflected by the Media / 9 Albanian TV shows for the consumer, we are presenting the part of the Resolution held by the President of Asmabeta Z / Ali Hoxha.

Wide participation of AAC members in Tirana and Rrethi, with the invited co-ordinators operating in Albania. Participated and followed by the dikaseteret as:

METE, Standards, UNDP, Other Associations such as; The Albanian National Post, representatives of women’s organizations, journalists and media, where 9 televisions participated, reflecting the development and progress of the assembly’s proceedings.
